Sylvia Wilson’s brother, Aaron, is working with a joint bank robbery task force. When he goes missing, she joins forces with the FBI to search for him.

But nothing is what it seems.

With very little time left, Sylvia will burn Heaven to the ground to find her missing brother and bring him back alive. FBI, be damned.

In this next instalment, we find Sylvia procrastinating over the remodel of her bar, Smugglers, which was completely trashed during the events of book one.

Still coming to terms with what happened in September – denial, much? – Sylvia has been suffering nightmares but refuses to get counselling, when her brother’s FBI handler, Duante Dawes, informs her that, while he was working deep undercover, her brother has gone missing and pulls her into the investigation. Of course, we already know just how stubborn our FMC is; there is nothing she won’t do to keep her family safe.

As the story progresses, Sylvia discovers that she has full-blown PTSD; I think the author did an admirable job with the descriptions of the panic attacks, etc. and how it can affect almost every aspect of a person’s life.

I do have to say, though, that our dear little Syl can be blinded by her ambition and make some silly mistakes; but, should she learn to curb her enthusiasm, I think she’d make a great spy.

But do buckle up, though, because this is fast-paced and action-packed all the way. I cannot wait to see where the next book takes us.

Happy reading!
