Hey lovelies! I am super excited for the chance to join the Mr. Pink-Ink Blog Team! I am Esli…probably better known by my Instagram handle @insignificant.beauties.
I am a South African, a wife ,a mommy(the reason I drink copious amounts of coffee…I’m not complaining about this btw, coffee is the best and delicious and it helps me… Addict? Me? Neeeever🤣) and I LOVE BOOKS! Lol… I only recently discovered my absolute passion for reading and consequently started my “Bookstagram” account. Last month I took the plunge and started my own blog for book reviews.
After my first Young Adult Fantasy novel, I was hooked on this genre, but I also enjoy Young Adult Contemporary books and I’ll never say no to a good thriller or other non YA books. Furthermore my heart has been captured by Middle-Grade books and since I’m a mommy of two girlies and I adore beautiful Illustrations I have a great fondness for children’s books. I’m so happy that I’ll be able to share some of my Middle-Grade and Kiddie book treasures with you!
PS. My favourite colour is pink!
I’m Tams, I live in South Africa and I’m a stay-at-home mum to a beautiful baby boy.
Historical fiction has been one of my favourite genres for as long as I can remember. My father is a major history buff, and imparted that to me, so I’ve always held an appreciation of and love for historical things.
Children’s books are something still relatively new to me as an adult. However, it’s really important to us that Larkin grow up with an appreciation for reading and so we began collecting books for his library before he was even born. I love seeing all the different kinds of children’s books there are, and also what books really grab his attention.
I’m super excited to be a part of the Pink Blots team and cannot wait to share my love of books, series, movies, games and EVERYTHING with you.

“Hi! I am Leora – most people shorten it to Lee, and I prefer it that way.
I’m a bookworm, word nerd, coffee (and tea) lover, Marvel Cinematic Universe geek, circus aerialist, beginner yogi, vegetarian and puppy-mom (quite a mouthful right!). I love travelling and I am great at multitasking (so I believe).
My book reviews are honest and to the point. My favorite genres include contemporary-; historical fiction and fantasy. I prefer standalone books, but can appreciate a good series any day.
My love of reading started at a very young age. My mom taught me how to read before I even started first grade and for that I will always be grateful. There is a common misconception that people who read are boring introverts who do not know how to socialize. Actually bookworms are the best personalities to socialize with – we have boundless knowledge on a vast number of subjects. We are highly intelligent and have a better ‘bigger-picture’ concept of the world than most. We have not lost our sense of adventure and imagination as we got older and our creativity drives us forward to achieve things most other people are too afraid to try.
I have a mild obsession with hashtags and so came OctothorpeReaderLeoraK to life.
The name OctothorpeReader (hashtagreader) came from understanding how a hashtag is used in social media to reach out and connect with like minded people. It is used as a searching tool, a description and tag line and has changed the way we communicate with each other.”

Hi there lovely readers of Mr Pink Ink. Nice to meet you, my name is Ruby from Ruby Rae Reads. Yes, alliteration intended. So I’m a small book blogger in high school, well almost finished actually. I tend to ramble a lot so I hope you can keep up haha.
I started my blog a few years ago so I could talk about books with other people because in the small town I live in nobody really read anything that I liked to read. Being a teen, my favourite genre is young adult especially urban fantasy which is a fantasy set in our world. But I also have a (large) soft spot for contemporary and middle grade stories. But really all I’m here for is amazing characters that I can cry over forever in the corner of my room.
Not long ago I would have told you that I wanted to be a filmmaker but I have developed this great love of writing, which isn’t really a surprise. Though I have a great love for movies, evidence being that I spend hours watching and then researching, then afterwards obsessing over the different films I watch. So I want to write stories but have a giant love for movies and also some TV shows, but not as many as you’d expect, because usually when I find a show, I binge all that I can and then just watch it over and over again.
I did warn you that I tend to ramble. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I hope you enjoy my content and I’m super pleased to be on this lovely team with some of my favourite people. My head is full of stories and random nonsense that I’m ready to share with you all.
Category : NON FICTION
I can’t remember a time when books were not a part of my life. One of my favorite childhood memories is of my school librarian telling my 7 year old self that I was allowed to check out the “older kids” books. I was suddenly transported from Dr. Suess to Farley Mowat and C. S. Lewis (among other favorites), and I’ve never looked back.
I have very eclectic reading tastes. One month I may read only fantasy, the next month may involve Russian classics and the history of tulips. All I ask is the book I choose be well-written and engaging, regardless the subject matter. Believe me, as a true Sagittarius, I’ll be the first to tell you when a story falls flat but also the first to praise the new modern-day classic.
Fiction is my escape, but non-fiction is my continuing education. At any given time I have some sort of non-fiction going: world history, sociology, psychology, science, the list is endless! I’m also a fan of true crime and tell-all Hollywood memoirs.
Thank you again Mr. Pink Ink for inviting me to share my thoughts and recommendations in non-fiction. I am excited to be a part of the Pink Ink team and look forward to sharing my love of non-fiction will all of you!

Hi, my name is Triston and I am book loving nerd, that reads, writes and reviews books!
I am currently working on getting my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and hope to he a published author one day. I love stories about identity and coming of age, and if there just so happens to be an Apocalypse going on or flying spaceships in the background, I see that as a bonus!
My favourite colour is grey, I love oreos and my favourite movie is the Dead Poets Society.

My name is Candice AKA Candy, CJ, Cands
I am a single mom from Cape Town, South Africa. I have a teenage daughter (oops, giving away my age) who drives me crazy and keeps me on my toes.
I love books, wine, food and the finer things in life (in that order by the way).
I started my bookstagram account (bibliophilecpt28) a year ago and have loved interacting with like-minded people ever since, increasing my love of books. When Mr. Pink Ink recruited new PinkBlots to blog, I couldn’t say no to the opportunity to review the books I read. Although, I read any genre, I will be covering the category of ROMANCE (I mean… who doesn’t love a good romantic story).
This is a new challenge for me and hope that I don’t disappoint. I look forward to sharing my reviews and interacting more with you.
Category : HORROR / MYSTERY / THRILLER
Hi there Readers!
My name is Meg, and I was kindly asked by the wonderful Jacques of MrPinkInk to cover the horror/thriller/non-fiction section for this awesome blog of his.
First of all I am a huge fan of the horror genre! As a kid my family and friends indulged my love for the weird and creepy, and as a thirty-something adult today I have the sneaky suspicion that I am still being indulged. It is also worth noting that I am a huge film buff too, and therefore would love to share my passion for some serious classics along the way.
In real life I am basically, but not strictly, an introverted (and occasionally) extroverted bookworm who lives at the beach but never has a tan. I love dogs of all shapes, sizes, colours and breeds and am most definitely, definitely addicted to caffeine! I am also a huge fan of rock and roll music, and will most assuredly do a couple of reviews of a few rock stars’ memoirs for your reading pleasure.
Writing has always been my passion, and it is also a delightful distraction from the pool of books I constantly swim in as I ran out of bookshelf space a few years and a few hundred books ago.
Well… that’s me for now. I look forward to sharing my passions with you all.
P.S If you are interested in a little more of my thoughts on books and film please don’t hesitate to check out my own blog http://www.fortheloveofmeg.wordpress.com or my Instagram account under the handle @transkeimeg
Hi there everyone!
I’m Mahmooda Martin. I’m from Cape Town. I’m so excited to join the #PinkBlots team. It’s an honour joining the team.
I’ve loved books since I was young. I grew up in a world filled with wizards, monsters, fairies and ponies with magical powers. One of my favourite TV characters, Rory Gilmore from Gilmore Girls, have a valedictorian speech in an episode and the opening of her speech summarized my whole life, “ I live in two worlds. One is a world of books.”
I can’t tell you what my favourite genre of book is because I’m not sure I have one. I read everything I find interesting lol. Like my parents always say, they don’t have a favourite child, they love all their kids an equal amount.
I’ve recently started a bookstagram, @byindigoreads, and I’ve met some wonderful people through the book community. People who have inspired me to share my bookish thoughts and be proud of them. I’m very fortunate to be apart of the community.

My fav colour is black, I like dark stories. A lot of people, including my son, call me weird. But that’s fine; I want to be weird.
